A new small project from Calia Software: it is called Calia Vulkan Upscaler, an application designed to enhance and enlarge images using GPU acceleration through Vulkan.

Simple to use

The goal was to make the process as straightforward as possible: no terminal and no complicated configuration. Choose an image, select the enlargement level and start processing.

Processing directly on your computer

One of the aspects I cared about most was keeping the processing local, directly on the user’s computer. The image is processed by the local machine, using the GPU through Vulkan.

Linux Beta ready to try

The first Linux Beta is available and can be tested from the dedicated page:

Feedback and suggestions

The project is still in Beta, so real-world tests, reports and suggestions are especially useful. If you try it, any feedback is very welcome.
